Measuring Seating Solutions: How to Achieve Optimal Outcomes for Clients

Power Mobility is pleased to present this hands-on seating workshop – Measuring Seating Solutions: Distinguishing Features in Cushions, Backrests, Headrests & Positioning Supports

Navigating the vast range of seating products — cushions, backrests, headrests and positioning supports can be overwhelming without a clear understanding of their distinguishing features. No single product can meet the needs of every client, making clinical reasoning essential in selecting the right components to achieve optimal outcomes.

This interactive workshop will equip you with the skills to assess, measure and match seating solutions to individual client needs. Through hands-on training, you’ll learn:

  • Key assessment techniques, including locating bony landmarks and support surfaces to align with product features.
  • Measurement strategies—when and how to measure for seating solutions (not always based on wheelchair size).
  • Clinical reasoning pathways to optimise positioning solutions for function and comfort.
  • Evaluation methods to ensure chosen features align with client-centred goals.

Join us for a practical and informative session that will enhance your ability to provide tailored seating solutions with confidence!
